What to do on a day out in Redditch
The high street is getting ready to spring back into life, and we’ve certainly missed going out with friends. As the shops, restaurants and cafes prepare to throw their doors open and welcome us back, let’s take a look at some of our favourite, and most missed, places to visit in Redditch.
Thriving shopping in Redditch town center
Who doesn’t love shopping? As the locals know, The Kingfisher Shopping Centre is one of our favourite places to head to. With a wide range of national and independent stores to satisfy the most discerning shopper, and plenty of choice for places to eat, it’s perfect for a girls’ day out. Treat your mum with a gift from Magical Story for Mother’s Day, pop into Prezzo for lunch and a glass of vino, and then treat yourself with an afternoon at the movies.
Fancy meeting for coffee and a cake?
If you’re planning a meet up with friends, Redditch has a range of independent cafes and restaurants just waiting to welcome you. We love the award winning JJ’s Café for a lunch time bite to eat, or a trip to The Bay Café at Botany Bay garden centre. You can pop into the shop or browse for your spring time plants at the same time.
Delicious places to eat and drink in Redditch
We’re all looking forward to catching up on belated celebrations with family, or even the chance to leave the kids at home while you enjoy a romantic meal. There are a generous amount of restaurants offering food from French dining, Indian, Italian, Chinese – really, you’re spoilt for choice. How about trying a different one each week, starting with Bangladeshi at Rasoi Cottage or a proper British beer at The Why Not Inn?
Green spaces in Redditch
It’s not all about shopping, of course. Spring is in the air, snowdrops are popping up everywhere and soon there will be daffodils out, signalling the arrival of Easter. We’re already looking forward to picnics in Arrow Valley Country Park, following the Family Art Hidden Trail and enjoying the playgrounds. If you’re ready for a bit more of a challenge, there’s the permanent orienteering course as well!
Redditch is lucky enough to enjoy another beauty spot at the Morton Stanley Park, gifted to the residents by a local industrialist in 1924, although the park itself was not opened for another 60 years. Now it’s a lovely place where the residents of Redditch can enjoy natural scenery.
With plenty of smaller parks, and a number of nature reserves, such as Ipsley Aldres Marsh, close by, there’s enough opportunity to walk, picnic and explore to keep us occupied all spring, and summer too.
Self-storage to help businesses re-open
While we’re excited to see our established businesses re-opening in Redditch, there have been plenty of new start-ups as well, as many of us consider a change in circumstances or lifestyle. From one new business to another, we’re pleased to be able to offer our storage facilities as a way to get your business growing without huge costs.
We can help online shops and eBay sellers to store stock and keep the work life and home life separate. Our storage rooms are the perfect solution for tradesmen needing secure storage for tools, equipment, samples and stock. When you need a little space, we offer flexible solutions, short-term and cost-effective contracts.
As studios, workrooms, document storage, stock solutions – if you’re not sure quite how we can help your business, give us a call; we’d love to talk about it with you. Give us a call on 01527 67921 or get a free quote today.
